25 years since Mohammed VI ascended the throne.. and the Emirates is the first to congratulate him

Moroccans celebrate today, Tuesday, July 30, the twenty-fifth anniversary of the accession of the Moroccan King Mohammed VI to the throne, an occasion that analysts see as an opportunity to enumerate successes and accumulate achievements.

The beginning of the reign of King Mohammed VI of Morocco The Moroccan monarch began his rule in 1999 by launching a process of modernization in all areas of life, which opened a new page in the history of contemporary Morocco, as the Kingdom’s position on the international scene was strengthened and the greatest economic, social and security gains were achieved.

Reforms under Mohammed VI During the reign of King Mohammed VI, Morocco witnessed a tremendous momentum of political, economic, social and cultural reforms that propelled the Kingdom towards the future.

Morocco was able to achieve diplomatic successes that strengthened its position and expanded its circle of allies despite the severe polarization in its regional environment and the conflict of international agendas in the region.

King Mohammed VI pardons hundreds of prisoners on Throne Day On the occasion of Throne Day, Moroccan King Mohammed VI pardoned three journalists known for their criticism of government policies, all of whom were convicted of charges including sexual assault, which they strongly denied. The Moroccan Ministry of Justice said the king also pardoned 16 prisoners convicted of extremism and terrorism “after reviewing their positions.” A total of 2,476 people were pardoned, according to the Justice Ministry statement.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, sent similar congratulatory cables to His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
