Iraqi media personality, Nima Riyadh Ahmed, was a guest on the “Something Forgotten” podcast in a special episode during which she revealed many details and secrets about her life and personality.

Ne'ma Riyad and childhood The media personality talked about her constant longing for her childhood and her first home, Baghdad, where she revealed that the most difficult question that a person living abroad might be asked is about “home.” According to her, a person living abroad is “homeless,” and longing always takes him toward his first home and he waits to return to it, indicating that a person might work abroad and achieve his self and dreams, but all that concerns him in the end is returning to his original home.

Ne'ma explained that she was influenced by her childhood and her life with her family, noting that to this day she remembers her happiness at that stage and is still greatly influenced by it.

About the passion for music and the media profession The media personality revealed that she studied oriental music in Jordan, indicating that she regretted this decision because it made her lose her enjoyment of music, because studying music is different from enjoying it, noting that she is a person who loves music and enjoys it, but delving into the details of music and studying it academically made her lose the enjoyment of listening.

Regarding the instrument she loves most, Ne’ma revealed that it is the qanun, explaining that she chose this instrument during her studies because it is the most difficult instrument among the oriental instruments. As for the maqamat closest to her heart, she chose the bayati maqam.

Nimah Riyad also stated that she received encouragement from her family to enter the media field, revealing that entering this field was a challenge for her, and that she was exposed to many challenges during her career in the media field, but she took these challenges positively to learn, develop and achieve her dream.

Regarding her work in radio, she revealed that she loves radio work, which teaches improvisation and reaches a large segment of society.

She also stated that she is a secretive person and does not share her problems with those around her because she does not like to bother others with her personal problems and does not prefer to complain. She considered this matter to be a problem because any person needs to share his feelings with others and hear their opinions.

About love and motherhood Nimah Riad revealed that motherhood teaches the meaning of love, as she said: “If they tell you about a mother’s love for her son, lovers would be ashamed of it, and all the concepts of love that I studied and learned do not rise to the level of a mother’s love.”

She explained that she has learned many things since becoming a mother, including patience and deliberation, and not making hasty decisions. She also learned to see the future in a different way.

Regarding her relationship with her husband, Ni’mah revealed that he is her friend and always supports her, indicating that he trusts her a lot and encourages her to embark on new experiences. She also indicated that she learned calmness from him, and that the difference in their personalities created a state of harmony and enjoyment between them, describing her relationship with him as “a continuous journey of discovery.”
