Sixty-two films were selected to compete for the festival's awards in its various categories.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The festival's jury included a group of elite artists and filmmakers from within and outside the Sultanate of Oman. The jury for short documentary films and films from Omani institutions included researcher and film programmer Marina Ozerinchuk from the Russian Federation, film distributor Mohammed Saadoun from the Arab Republic of Egypt, director Jamila Al-Badia from the Sultanate of Oman, and Thomas Janzi from the Federal Republic of Germany. The jury for short narrative films was headed by artist Ahmed Magdy from the Arab Republic of Egypt and included artist Atab Naim from the Syrian Arab Republic, directors Khaled Al-Kalbani, Jalila Al-Fahdiya, and director Abdulaziz Al-Habsi from the Sultanate of Oman.
