Amr Diab dedicates "Wghlawtak" to Mohamed Rahim in Dubai concert

Artist Amr Diab performed a huge concert on one of the major stages in the Emirates, amidst a large audience.

A message from Amr Diab to the soul of Mohamed Rahim Diab surprised the audience by singing the first song he collaborated on with the late composer Mohamed Rahim, “Waghlawtak.” As the band began playing the song, Diab said: “I intended to sing this song today. Its composer was a very great artist, honestly.”

After finishing, he paid tribute to the late Mohammed Rahim, saying: “Greetings to its great composer whom we have missed.”

The song "Wghalawtak" was the first collaboration between Mohamed Rahim and Amr Diab in 1998 when Rahim was still a student at the Faculty of Music Education, and the song became the starting point for his rich artistic career.

Collaborations between Mohamed Rahim and Amr Diab Rahim and Diab had a great career of success with the songs they presented, most notably “Kol Hayati”, “Ghalawatak”, “Tamally Ma’ak”, “Habibi Wala Ala Baloo”, “Law Ashqani”, and “Hekayatak Eh”.

The late Mohamed Rahim began his journey in the singing arena at the age of 19, after meeting the artist Hamid Al Shaeri and the poet Khaled Taj El Din. Over the course of 26 years, he released songs to the world that contributed to the success of many singers, including Tamer Hosny, Carole Samaha, Assala, Ruby, Sherine, Mohamed Mounir, and others.
