Asala sends a message to the "sleeping prince"

Artist Assala Nasri sent a message to Prince Khaled bin Talal, along with his son Prince Alwaleed, known as the “Sleeping Prince.”

A touching message from Asala to the sleeping prince

Assala posted a video clip and sent him a touching message via her account on the “X” platform. Assala said in her post: “There are people who were created to provide reassurance, and this life, with all its fluctuations and horrors, needs people who balance it with kindness, loyalty, love, patience, hope and faith. And their story becomes part of our story.”

She added: "I am one of the many who pray with you, Prince Khaled, that you and we rejoice in the achievement of this miracle, which God is not unable to achieve with His mercy and power, and that He opens the eyes of Prince Alwaleed and compensates you for the years of waiting, Amen, Lord of the Worlds."

The video included an explanation from Prince Khaled bin Talal about the medical procedures he will take to follow up on his son's health condition.

Who is the "sleeping prince"?

The Sleeping Prince is the son of Saudi Prince Khalid bin Talal. Nineteen years ago, he was involved in an accident that changed his life completely. He lost consciousness and never came back to life. Since then, he has been nicknamed the “Sleeping Prince.” His father, Prince Khalid bin Talal, continued to accompany him in an inspiring story that affected many people, including the artist Asala.

On the other hand, Asala revealed a touching story in her life that she lived during her childhood in Syria, and she narrated it in a post that she published on her official account on the “X” platform.

Assala wrote: “When I was a baby (and still am), my beloved mother, may God protect her for me, whenever she wanted to go with my father on an errand, may God have mercy on him and on all good people, she would leave me with our neighbor, whose name was (Umm Vicky). I don’t remember her, but my mother used to tell us a lot about her, and to this day the story is still repeated because of her kindness, goodness, sweet meaning, and good memory. This woman had a baby my age, and my mother used to say that the bottle cap wasn’t in fashion, and what my mother did, almost all the people in Syria did in different ways.”

She added: "The important thing is that my mother says that sometimes when she was late on the road, she would get worried and go to our neighbor (Vicky's mother) to find me breastfed and asleep, and she would take me home full, tidy, and asleep, and she would repeat this matter over and over again, and every time it was the same thing, she would come back to find me full, tidy, comfortable, and asleep. And although my mother - may God protect her and your mothers and have mercy on those who left a conservative religious home - she did not worry or hesitate to leave me several times with our Christian neighbor, and share with her daughter her share of her mother's milk and be her sister in breastfeeding." The singer of "Qad Al-Huroof" continued the story: "There are many Syrian homes that share walls with frames of pictures of our Lady Mary, sayings of our master Ali bin Abi Talib, stories about the justice of Omar bin Al-Khattab, the heroism of Salah Al-Din Al-Ayyubi, and more than that. We were created and this society was formed, which must not change, and it is necessary We preserve it because it is a symbol of humanity and true, good coexistence.”
