Writer Badriya Al-Bishr commented on the ongoing controversy surrounding the series "Sharia Al-A'sha," confirming that the work has received approval from the Saudi Ministry of Information and is being broadcast on an official Saudi channel. Furthermore, its content has been reviewed by a member of the Saudi Ministry of Culture.

She explained that the series is inspired by her novel, "Love Stories on Al-A'sha Street," which was published in 2013 according to official publishing laws.

Widespread interaction and mixed criticism

Badriya Al-Bishr expressed her happiness at the widespread interaction with the series, noting that she accepts all opinions, both supportive and critical, as long as they are within the framework of objective criticism. At the same time, however, she completely rejected personal attacks, emphasizing that defamation and the exaggeration of her Saudi identity are completely unacceptable, calling for respectful discussion, free from incitement and hatred.

Legal action against personal abuse

In the face of the personal attacks she faced, Al-Bashar announced that she had appointed attorney Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Aslami to take legal action against any account that violates her rights or directs personal insults at her. She confirmed that she would pursue the offenders legally, relying on the Anti-Cybercrime Law to ensure appropriate penalties are applied.

The series is among the productions supported by the Saudi Film Commission through its financial incentive program, part of the Kingdom's efforts to support Saudi and international film production, promote the film industry locally and globally, and empower Saudi talent in the artistic field.
