This came after it passed the criteria prepared by the Arab Tourism Organization to select the capital of Arab tourism.</p><h3 style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> <span style="color:hsl( 187, 48%, 51% );">Criteria for selecting the capital Baghdad</span> </h3><figure class="image"><img style="aspect-ratio:800/500;" src="https://cdn.sbisiali.com/news/images/176bc9bd-3efc-48fb-88e3-6851cdab726e.jpg" ></figure><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The organization explained that "the criteria focused on tourism management indicators, tourism infrastructure, tourism resources, diversity of tourism patterns and activities, environmental preservation and protection, response to tourism developments, desired results from tourism in the city, tourism safety, security and stability, and health safety," noting that "the Arab Ministerial Council for Tourism welcomed, during its meeting held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, the selection of Baghdad as the Arab Tourism Capital for the year 2025."</p><h4 style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> <span style="color:hsl( 187, 48%, 51% );">Events and programs throughout 2025</span></h4><figure class="image"><img></figure><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The head of the Arab Tourism Organization, Bandar bin Fahd Al-Fahid, revealed that “many events and programs will be implemented throughout the year 2025 in the capital, Baghdad, with the aim of developing inter-Arab and regional tourism in the Republic of Iraq.” The organization will also launch, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, a celebration to inaugurate Baghdad as the capital of Arab tourism for the year 2025 at the beginning of the year.</p>
