Billboard Awards and Honorees

An exceptional night for the Saudi capital, Riyadh, at the first edition of the Billboard Arab Music Awards, which witnessed strong competition between 96 artists for more than 40 awards and 210 nominations.

The concert was held at the King Fahd Cultural Center, as part of the activities of the first Riyadh Music Week, with the participation of a group of the most prominent artists and singing stars from the region and the world.

The prizes were distributed as follows:

Elissa won the Icon Award, one of the most important awards of the ceremony. After receiving the award shield, she said: “My honor, today, is for a 25-year journey full of love and success. I am proud of this award, and it is not for me, but for everyone who contributed to my success during my artistic career.”

Amr Diab won the Best Artist of the Year 2024 and Best Artist in the Egyptian Songs category, after “Present Classics and New Releases” secured the two awards for him, according to the organizers.

Abdul Majeed Abdullah won 3 awards: Lifetime Achievement, First Artist in the Gulf Song category, and Best Artist in the Gulf Song category.

Amina Taleb won the Best Artist Award in the “Gulf Song” category, after being nominated alongside Assala Nasri, Balqees, Aseel Hameem, and Shama Hamdan.

Nancy Ajram won the Best Artist Award for the Levantine Song category for the year 2024.

Sherine Abdel Wahab also won 4 awards: Best Artist and First Artist in the Egyptian Song category, Best Female Artist in the Egyptian Song category, and Artist of the Year.

The duet between Ahmed Saad and Assala, titled “The Reason for My Joy,” won the award for Best Arab Duet, over well-known singing duets.

The song "Hegili Mojoua" by artist Tamer Ashour won the "Song of the Year" and "Best Egyptian Song" awards, after competing with several songs, including "Fawq" by Assala, "Julie Mata" by Saad Lamjarred, and "Ya Leil Ya Ain" by Al-Shami.

Artist Muslim won the award for Best Indie Artist of the Year, after many of his songs appeared for many weeks on the various Billboard Arabia charts this year.

Rapper Too Late, who is known for his mask that hides his face, won the award for "Most Emerging Artist", and accepted his award wearing the same mask without revealing his face.

The award for Best Female Artist in the Maghrebi Song category went to Manal after her album “Wounded Arab Heart” achieved great success and topped the listening charts this year.

Eliana won the award for "Best New Artist".

Al-Shami won several awards, including “Best Artist in the Levantine Songs Category”, “First Artist in the Levantine Songs Category”, “Best Indie Song” for “Sabra”, and “Best Levantine Song”.
