Cate Blanchett shines on the red carpet for her film at El Gouna Film Festival

International star Cate Blanchett appeared with the cast of "Father Mother Sister Brother" on the red carpet at the El Gouna Film Festival.

Blanchett posed for photos with Naguib Sawiris , the festival's founder, and Amr Mansi, the festival's executive director and co-founder.

Film Story: A Cry from the Heart of Gaza The film highlights a poignant human story inspired by true events that took place in January 2024, months after the escalation of the aggression on Gaza in October 2023. The film revolves around an emergency call received by Palestinian Red Crescent volunteers on January 29 from a six-year-old Palestinian girl trapped inside a car under heavy gunfire in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood of Gaza City.

"Uncle, they're shooting at us. Help us. The tank is right next to me while we're in the car," the little girl said over the phone. Despite the paramedics' persistent attempts to keep her on the line and send an ambulance, Lian Hamada was killed by Israeli occupation forces before help could arrive.

The film reflects a profound human tragedy and highlights the suffering of civilians—especially children—in conflict zones, embodying the moments of pain and helplessness experienced by both paramedics and victims.
