The Miss Grand International 2025 pageant in Bangkok witnessed a very embarrassing moment when Panama's Isamar Herrera walked to the front of the stage believing she had qualified for the final round, only to discover moments later that the announcer had announced another contestant's name.

Isamar, 31, appeared to be overjoyed, smiling and raising her fists in jubilation as she walked to the front of the stage, believing her name had been announced. However, the announcer had actually said, "Congratulations to Miss Paraguay," referring to contestant Cecilia Romero, not the Panama representative.

It is noteworthy that the announcer remained silent for a few seconds after saying the phrase "Congratulations to", while Herrera continued her confident walk towards her colleagues who had been selected for the final stage, before he corrected the situation by saying gently: "Ah, I'm sorry, I announced the name of Miss Paraguay."

Isamar quickly returned to her seat with a composed smile, while the announcer tried to calm the situation, saying, "The hall was full of fans from all over the world, which caused some noise and confusion."

Isamar received widespread support on social media, particularly on her Instagram account, which has over 21,000 followers. Many followers expressed sympathy, considering the incident a "simple human error" and praising her poise in handling the situation.
