Disney releases teaser trailer for "Avatar: Fire and Ash"

Disney has released the first trailer for James Cameron's "Avatar: Fire and Ash," which is set to hit theaters on December 19, three years after the release of "Avatar: The Way of Water."

Suspense and adventure

The Farang appears to have the ability to control fire, and her flames are burning parts of Pandora's forest. "Your goddess has no power here," she says ominously at the end of the trailer. But their eldest son is killed in the fighting, and the DNR remains deeply entrenched on Pandora. "Fire and Ash" will begin shortly after these events, with Jake and Neytiri encountering the Ash people, who Cameron hints are more drawn to violence and power than other clans.
