Officials' statements

Ahmed Sami Badawi, Director General of the Egyptian Film Commission, expressed his happiness with the positive reactions to the episode, stressing that it will have a great impact on Egyptian tourism. He pointed out that this project has received great attention from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and other relevant ministries.

Badawi added: “A major artwork is currently being filmed in Egypt, but its details will not be announced now. We have also filmed 70 international artworks inside the Arab Republic of Egypt in the last 4 years, including 26 works in 2024, and thus there has been an increase in requests to film international works in Egypt recently.”

Badawi concluded his statements by saying: “We are working at full capacity with all ministries concerned with international filming in Egypt, to give greater production incentives to foreign production companies that want to film in Egypt.”
