Actor Amr Farid Shawqi revealed the true cause of the death of the late director of photography, Timur Timur, confirming that his death was not the result of direct drowning, but rather a sudden emotional shock while trying to save his son. Shawky said in a post on his Facebook account: "May God have mercy on you, Taymour, but I would like to clarify that the death occurred as a result of cardiac arrest due to the emotional shock during the rescue, especially since rescuing relatives is much more difficult than rescuing strangers."

Shawky explained that he had previously worked as a swimming instructor and river lifeguard, and that he had taken international courses in lifeguarding. He noted that he had faced many difficult situations during his time working at major beaches and clubs. He added that the experiences he went through make him certain that what happened to Timur was not a normal drowning, but rather a sudden cardiac arrest before he drowned.

The funeral of the deceased was held on Sunday, August 17, after the noon prayer, at Field Marshal Tantawi Mosque in the Fifth Settlement. Timur Timur's funeral was held at Al-Hamidiya Al-Shadhiliya Mosque in Mohandessin, in the presence of a large number of his friends and colleagues in the artistic community.
