Shakira shines at the Copa America final ceremony

International singer Shakira appeared during halftime of the match between Argentina and Colombia, which was held at dawn on Monday at Hard Rock Stadium, as part of the final of the 2024 Copa America, held in the United States of America.

Shakira sparkled in silver at the Cuba final ceremony, where she wore a sparkling silver top, and coordinated with it a short (pocket) skirt that featured a wide opening on one of her legs.

Earlier, CONMEBOL announced that it would hold a simple concert between the two halves of the final match, in which Colombian singer Shakira would sing some of her songs, on the sidelines of the Copa America 2024 final celebration.

Colombia national team coach Nestor Lorenzo criticized the decision to extend the break between the two halves of the 2024 Copa America final, to remain 25 minutes instead of 15 minutes, in order to present an artistic segment led by the famous singer Shakira.

For its part, the Spanish newspaper "Marca", quoting Juan Echeguín, an Argentine journalist, said that the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) paid the Colombian singer Shakira $2 million for her performance, which would last a little more than 5 minutes.

This was not the first time that Shakira performed on the sidelines of world football tournaments. Rather, she had previously performed in three World Cups.

Argentina and Colombia match in the 2024 Copa America final The Argentina national team was crowned champion of the South American Football Cup, “Copa America 2024,” for the second time in a row and the 16th in its history, following a 1-0 victory over Colombia after extra time, in the final match of the continental competition, which was hosted by the United States.

Regular time ended in a scoreless draw, so the two teams had to play an extra time of half an hour in two halves, during which the Argentine team settled matters in its favor.
