A key player experienced on stage with his culture and talent, the theaters embraced him in his early days and he embraced them in his heart for the rest of his life, a fierce defender of the stage that creates stars and inspires artists. He created for himself the dramatic and cinematic character of "Abu Antar", which has not been repeated despite the many tough guys in artistic works. He contributed, along with the stars of his era (Al-Burzan, Ghawar, Yasino, Fatoum, Abu Kalbasha and others), to creating a new comedy for the Arab viewer with a smooth Levantine dialect.

Abu Antar, the knight who threw down his dagger, left an image that still lingers in people's imagination despite his departure. Their reality evokes it and they pass it on as a living witness to their circumstances and daily lives, wittily repeating his most important words: "False, accidental, devoid of humor or merit." Naji Jabr gave a lot of his life to his art and presented it with all sincerity, creating an independent character, something that only a few actors have been able to achieve. It is true that "Abu Antar" confined him to one role for a long time, but this character toured Arab homes more than any other, as it spoke to people with kindness and simplicity about their concerns and represented a part of their reality. He brought to them a new dialect (the Levantine dialect) along with a group of stars of his time.

His response to those who accuse him of exporting the Syrian dialect at the expense of classical Arabic has always been to confirm that what was required was not to speak other languages such as French or English, and that he did not go beyond the scope of Arabic, as the Damascene colloquial dialect is very similar and converges with classical Arabic. He added that the work he presented with his friend Ghawar (Dureid Lahham) was seen in various countries in the Arab world by all audiences. In the end, Naji Jabr is an actor who plays all roles, and his role is not limited to popular works only, challenging any other Syrian or Arab actor to embody the role of “Abu Antar”, “Sayfo Al-Aker”, “Siyah” or even “Nimr”, but he can play all of their roles. Here he clarifies the difference between him and some people, explaining that his words did not come from arrogance, because God granted him this blessing and talent that he is very proud of.

It was clear that cinema production in Syria had stopped after the mid-eighties, but Naji returned in the early nineties and then stopped again for five years, returning with his last cinematic work in 1995.
