She noted that he had been suffering from the effects of a stroke that left him paralyzed and suffering health complications. However, she emphasized his strong determination, which had driven him to return to work and supervise his students' projects during the current semester, giving them hope for his recovery.

The student mourned her teacher, whom she described as "a wonderful teacher and professor," and asked for prayers for him and for patience for his young children.

Director Amr Sami passed away at dawn on Monday, according to news announced by his friend Sherif Idris on his personal Facebook account, where he mourned him with touching words, saying: “To God we belong and to Him we shall return.
