"The Yellow Palace" brings together Wafaa Amer and Sara Salama in Ramadan 2026

Egyptian actress Wafaa Amer and her compatriot Sara Salama have signed a contract for a new series titled "The Yellow Palace," scheduled to air during Ramadan 2026.

"Al Saraya Al Safra" is the first drama series by director Joseph Nabil, written by Hussein Mustafa Moharam, with whom the production company previously collaborated on the series "Street 9," which achieved success upon its release.

Wafaa Amer: I raised 57 million Egyptian pounds through TikTok for charity. Egyptian actress Wafaa Amer said she was able to turn her social media fame into a tool to support humanitarian causes, raising EGP 57 million in donations through live broadcasts on TikTok.

During her interview on the "Last Word" program, hosted by Ahmed Salem, she added that her career in this field began about three years ago when she was affected by the case of a sick child named "Ruqayya" who needed support and assistance.

Wafaa Amer explained that a journalist's suggestion was a turning point, as he advised her to use social media platforms like Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram to collect donations in an organized manner and under the umbrella of the Ministry of Social Solidarity.

Wafaa Amer: I did not expect this great impact. The Egyptian artist described the moment she started as extremely emotional, to the point where she couldn't control herself and started crying. However, she didn't expect her voice and image to have such a profound impact, as her first live broadcast generated 9 million Egyptian pounds in donations.

She continued by organizing other broadcasts and successfully raising an additional 48 million pounds, allowing her to expand her aid to include a variety of humanitarian cases. She added that satisfaction isn't measured by money, but by seeing the happiness and joy on the faces of those she helps.

She stressed that social media platforms can be a powerful tool that public figures can use positively, not only for entertainment or fame, but also to support humanitarian initiatives.

Wafaa Amer noted that she hopes to serve as a role model for others, including artists and other influencers, to channel their fame toward good and contribute to serving the community, emphasizing that the feeling of giving and helping others is priceless.

She emphasized that all the success achieved in the donation campaigns was not the result of individual efforts alone, but rather the result of people's cooperation with her, the goodwill of donors, and her belief that charitable work is the highest form of positive influence anyone can provide.
