<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr">A trend on TikTok has caused a real cucumber crisis in Iceland, as stores are suffering from a severe shortage of cucumbers, knowing that this country produces about two million tons annually.<br><br> This problem started after a video went viral of a group of influencers preparing a salad recipe consisting of cucumber, sesame oil, garlic, rice vinegar and chili oil.<br><br> Nearly 150,000 videos were posted with the hashtag “cucumber salad” or “cucumber trend.”<br><br> Press sources said that the trend was due to a Canadian influencer named Logan Moffett, who is known as the “Cucumber Man” and shares videos of recipes containing cucumbers and says the phrase “Sometimes, you just need to eat a whole cucumber.”<br><br> This shortage also included other ingredients that make up the salad, as sesame oil began to disappear in a number of stores as well.<br><br> Many food trends are spreading on social media that cause controversy, including what happened recently with Dubai Chocolate and previously with pasta with feta cheese.<br><br></p>
