Zayed Humanitarian Work Day...an occasion that consolidates charitable work

On Friday, the UAE commemorates “Zayed Humanitarian Day” 2024, while its relief initiatives across borders and continents continue to spread goodness in the world.

Inspirational initiatives and unprecedented giving campaigns, roaming the world, east and west, north and south, through which the UAE, under the guidance of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, is moving forward to immortalize the approach of the late founder Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and follow his path in giving and providing development and humanitarian aid. And charity for the needy in various countries of the world, which truly crowns it as the capital of humanity and charitable work.

“Zayed Humanitarian Work Day” falls on Ramadan 19 of each year, corresponding to the anniversary of the passing of the founder of the UAE, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, on this day in the year 1425 AH, corresponding to November 2, 2004.

Since his passing, the UAE leadership, government and people have been keen to commemorate that memory by following his approach to giving and continuing the good deeds that he instilled in their souls, out of loyalty to his life, inspired by his wisdom, and in gratitude for his role in establishing the process of humanitarian giving in the UAE and the world.

The process of giving continues

That anniversary falls this year, 2024, as the UAE continues to send aid and implement its Ramadan initiatives in various parts of the world, from Indonesia in the east to Morocco in the west, passing through Pakistan, Ukraine, Palestine, Jordan, Syria, Yemen, Chad and other countries of the world.

Aid continues as part of several initiatives that strengthen the UAE’s leading position on the map of the most generous countries around the world, especially during the Holy Month.

Although this aid continues throughout the year, within the strategy of human brotherhood pursued by the UAE and which places “human first” as its priority without discrimination, based on geography, race, or religion, this aid increases during the holy month of Ramadan, given the joy this month brings. A peculiarity that embodies the meanings of mercy, tolerance, generosity, giving, and nobility.

The anniversary coincides with the announcement by the Joint Operations Command of the UAE Ministry of Defense of the implementation of Operation “Birds of Goodness,” the 17th airdrop of humanitarian and relief aid to the northern Gaza Strip, the day after the implementation of the largest airdrop of humanitarian and relief aid to the northern Gaza Strip since its launch, with a total of 90 tons. .

The largest air drop of humanitarian and relief aid into the northern Gaza Strip coincided with the UAE sending a plane carrying 50 tons of food to Ukraine.

This comes as the series of Ramadan programs and initiatives implemented by Emirati humanitarian and charitable societies around the world continues, especially in countries suffering as a result of conflicts and crises.
