Hesham Maged: The first 3 days of our marriage ended in the hospital!

Actor Hesham Gamal revealed an unexpected surprise while talking about the painful details he experienced with his wife, actress Laila Ahmed Zaher, during their honeymoon in America, three days after their wedding. The incident occurred after they both suffered a severe food poisoning incident that nearly led to a fatal outcome.

Hesham Gamal: I believe in envy, but prayer protects a person.

After appearing on the program "Sahibet Al-Saada" with actress Esaad Younes, Hesham Gamal said that he believes in the existence of the evil eye, but he also believes that sincere prayers from people provide strong protection against any negative energy. He explained that the overwhelming support he receives from his fans is considered "protection from God."

Hesham Gamal recounted that he and his wife ate a meal from a car parked near their hotel. He noted that they were so impressed with the taste of the food that they decided to repeat the experience the next day. He added jokingly, "It seems we were the ones who got the lion's share of the poisoned food."

The first symptoms appear hours after eating the meal.

Hisham revealed that after they returned to the room, Laila suddenly felt tired and went to sleep, while he began to feel a sharp, stabbing pain in his stomach. He noted that the situation seemed "comedic at first," but it quickly escalated into something serious.

Hisham explained that their condition had deteriorated significantly, forcing them to be immediately taken to the hospital. There, doctors performed urgent tests and confirmed that they were suffering from severe food poisoning. Despite their concerns, the doctors reassured them that their health was stable and would improve within hours.

Hesham continued, saying that he was feeling a very strong pain in his stomach, while Laila tried to reassure him and convince the doctors that his condition required urgent intervention. He added, "Even after taking the medication, I was unable to move for hours, and Laila suddenly said that she was also feeling terrible pain, so I had to call the doctor immediately."

Hesham said they were scheduled to fly back to Egypt just three hours after the crisis, so they decided to hurry back despite the extreme exhaustion. They were able to board the plane and return safely.

Hesham Gamal: We didn't tell anyone about the incident out of fear for our family.

Hisham concluded his statement by saying that they had not told anyone in the family what had happened at the time, fearing that the news would cause anxiety or stress for their families. He emphasized that the matter had passed peacefully, but that it was a lesson they would never forget.
